Crays Fire offer two types of maintenance contract, both of which provide access to our “Telephone Advice Service”:

Standard Maintenance Agreements

Crays Fire’s standard maintenance agreement covers the Labour costs to undertake the Routine and Annual Inspection and Tests of the Fire Alarm and Detection System, in accordance with BS 5839-1:2017, sub-clause 45. The service fee is dependent on the size and complexity of the system and will normally be determined by carrying out a survey, which Crays Fire will undertake free of charge. The agreement also gives access to our 24 hour, 365 day a year “Emergency Call-Out Service”, details of which are given below.

Comprehensive Maintenance Agreements

This alternative agreement also covers the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017, sub-clause 45, and gives access to the “Emergency Call-Out Service”, but in this case, for one annual charge, fully inclusive of all labour and materials. Naturally the fee is higher, and subject to the usual terms and conditions, but may suit some customers who wish to know in advance to what they are committed to on an annual basis.

Emergency Call-Out Service

24 hr Call Out Centre

The Crays Fire Emergency Call-Out Service, guarantees that a response to an emergency call will be made by an experienced Engineer within a maximum of 30 minutes. It also guarantees that, if required, an Engineer will be on site within 8 hours.

Telephone Advice Service

All of our Engineers are equipped with mobile telephones and our duty call-out Engineer carries a radio pager so that he can be contacted wherever he is. We have found from experience, that putting an experienced Engineer (who may already be familiar with your site and system) immediately in touch with a customer, it is often possible to solve a problem, at least temporarily, via the telephone. A site visit can then be made during normal working hours at a lower cost.

This Telephone Advice Service is FREE to all of our Maintenance Contract Customers.

Fire Extinguishers

Extinguishers

Crays Fire are able to offer a fully comprehensive fixed price per extinguisher.  Although this seems slightly more expensive initially, the cost covers all labour and materials required to undertake the annual maintenance of the fire extinguishers in accordance with BS:5306:3:2009. This includes all security tags, labels and routine extinguisher re-charges / replacements required under the above standards.

Therefore the only additional costs which may be incurred are for any replacements due to loss or damage of an Extinguisher, or to recharge an extinguisher following discharge by yourselves.  In the long term this works out much cheaper for yourself and your clients.
