The most crucial part of ensuring the effectiveness of any Fire Detection System, is the Design stage. Crays Fire offer a full system Design Service for all types and size of system, from a simple conventional “M” (manual) Category, to an “L1” Category Analogue Addressable system. This Design, if required, will include liaison with all interested parties, such as Fire Officers, Building Insurers, etc, as recommended by BS 5839-1:2017.

When specifying the equipment for a designed system, reliability and cost effectiveness are keynote. As an authorised distributor of Advanced Electronics and Electro Detector’s Radio based equipment, we feel we are able to specify and supply the very best equipment currently available in the market place. However, as we are not contractually tied to either of these manufacturers we are still free to specify and supply all of the industry standard makes of equipment, such as Apollo, Hochiki, System Sensor, Kentec, Firesense, Morley, Multi-Alarm, etc. We are therefore able to specify the equipment which will meet the specified requirements, rather than make and therefore limit the specification to meet the equipment capabilities.

Crays Fire also offer assistance to Electrical Consultants and Contractors in this specialist field, whether it be from a Design or Project Management point of view. For further information or to receive a free “Pocket Design & Installation Guide”, please contact info@craysfire.com.

Installation

  • We have many years of experience in installing all types of system, from a simple conventional manual only, to a fully networked analogue addressable system.
  • As well as hard wired systems, we are an approved Electro-Detectors and EMS distributor and can also install radio based fire alarm systems for buildings where cabling is unacceptable.  Please see our case studies for examples.
  • Not being contractually obliged to manufacturers enables us to specify and supply all of the industry standard makes of equipment, such as Apollo, Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Multi-Alarm, etc. We are therefore able to specify the equipment which will meet the specified requirements, rather than make and therefore limit the specification to meet the equipment capabilities.
  • All site surveys and quotations are carried out free of charge.
  • Whether undertaken by our own operatives, or by one of our approved sub-contractors, whose work we know and trust, all work will be carried out by experienced and trained Engineers, and in accordance with Section 4 of BS 5839-1:2017.
